I just ordered the exact same thing, mine should be here by the end of the week. It was really cheap and I needed a more accurate tach than the stock one. I'm also curious if this is a good buy or not.

some people use them and swear by TTs. Some people use PET for a lot more money.

like many things, its a preference. cost vs function.

The decent TT is the commercial one. The problem with the standard tach is that the refresh rate is every 2.5 seconds. ALOT can happen in 2.5 seconds.

If you are going the route of a tiny tach, pay the few extra bucks and get the commercial for the refresh rate alone.

    just my 0.02

i have both tachs and well the tiny tach does work its not great for tuning, it updates way to slow for accurate readings...thats why i ended up coughing up for a pet

I guess it comes down to how serious you are with performance and tuning.

I had one on an old two-stroke vintage roadracing motorcycle years ago. Thought it was absolutely worthless.

my non commercial model reads something like 7160 after every blink...

the commercial one refreshes so fast that all you see is 71xx, 72xx, 71xx (but then it has MAX RPM which turns out to be 7218 on my ski)

    so IMO get the commercial...
