    stall off of idle???

I have a 96 slx with the original oil injection still connected. The ski runs fine at idle and full throttle. My problem is it trys to stall out of the hole. If you snap the throttle it will stall everytime. You have to feather the throttle to get out of the hole and keep it from stalling. Thanks again for any of your input.

Sounds like the carbs need a good cleaning, or the filters are clogged.

Try applying the choke when you take off and see if that heps. If it does, you're starving for fuel and will be doing damage.

Do Not keep riding it with insufficient fuel supply.

I've cleaned the carbs and the arrestors. but i didn't make any adjustments to the carbs when I installed them. I just left the settings how they were. I just bought the ski a few months ago so I'm not sure what all has been done to it. The ski runs great at idle and top end. The plugs look good. It just falls on its face if I try to nail it out of the hole.

You took the carbs apart, and cleaned the small internal passages and tiny fuel filter?

So you removed the high and low speed adjustment screws during the cleaning, then screwed them back in until the screws gently bottomed, then turned them out to the factory spec settings?

Did you spray carb cleaner through each of the internal jets and passages, especially the ones that lead into the carb throat?

Note the small hole in the photo, in the wall of the carb. You carb may look different, but every one of those small holes must be cleared out.

Go here and do some reading. Make yourself some notes to take with you to the water and go tune that ski. My 750 was acting the same way after the carb, cylinder, pump etc. work I did but following Randys "tuning tips for girls" I have all but tuned this thing in like a pro!! No more falling off or blubbering, just grab and growl!!!
