    1050 sl no spark!!

    hey i need some help i just replaced the stator on my sl 1050 and still no spark, i tried a new cdi, new coils i am stumped!! it started to loose spark slowly after i put the v-force in it, than it barley had spark than just eventualy quit sparking!! anybody have any suggestions!

    Have you checked all the basics - battery health while cranking, ground resistance, and so on?

    ya the battery has 12.6 v, i am totally stumped! i have a pile of spare parts and i have tried almost everything! the only pice i havent changed is inside the electrical box there is a module i think its the LR module it has 3 wires comming out of it i know that one is yellow i am not too sure what that module even does!

    12.6 volts is the battery voltage while the engine is not cranking.

    You need to check the battery voltage while the engine is actually cranking, using a multi-meter.

    If that reading is over 10.5 volts, then move your meter probes to the black and Red/Purple wires inside the electrical box, and crank it again. Voltage should again be over 10.5 volts.

    ok i will try that tomorrow night, do you have any other suggestions?

    i just brought home a new battery from work today it has been on charge since 8am, i have 11.4 v off the battery when i am cranking it over and off the blk-red/purple i have 10.9v any other suggestions?

    Why was the stator replaced?

    Was it the same part number as the stator that came out?

    What part number is on the CDI?
    Is there another number on the CDI hand marked in yellow or white?

    Part number on the coil pack?

    i have 9.4v from the orange wire to ground! whats the deal with that? what is that module and what does it do?

    Is there a Red/Purple wire from the CDI module connected to the Orange wires?

    If yes, put a label on that wire, then move it to join with all the other Red/Purple wires.

    See if it starts now.

    I am thinking your LR voltage regulator module is failing, and starving the CDI for voltage.

    The LR regulator module does several things. One of those things is switching on the Orange wire to power up the bilge pump and CDI.

    do i just move it on that bord? does it matter where i place it?
