Wake up kit from Pro-Tec for a GP760, what do you think?

    I know, I know....

But I'm kinda attached to my GP760...

I bought it for really cheap to begin with and I am getting to know it machanically and I don't need to to 70 or even 60. I just want to wrench on it and get the most out of it that I can.

It apprears that for about a grand the package is an ok deal, you get a head, a pipe, K&N's, jets, gaskets.

    Thoughts....?

I say do it.... Of course there will be the "naysayers" who will give you crap about it. It is yours. Do what you want with it. And yes, you will notice a difference. Also go for the VF3 reeds...

The only thing I am missing of that package is the pipe. Hopefully I can find one on eBay eventually.

as long as you already have trim tabs, toploader grate and a 97 o/e or aftermarket long plate... keep in mind you will need to also buy an 'XI' impeller to hook up the new power this kit gives you...

go for it .. it will be a lots quicker and way more fun to ride...

I figured you hit the I instead of the X since they are right next to each other!

Thanks guys! Exactly what I was looking for! Good, honest answers!

If I do find used stuff and piece it together, what size jetting/springs should I start with when tuning it?

Pro-tec should know what size jets to use with their kit.
