Bogging at half throttle (1994 SL650)

Ok, I got my 750 up and running with the help of you guys, now I am working on the 1994 SL650 I picked up at the same time. I am having a bogging problem. I had the ski running great on the trailer, no bog, but when I put it in the water it bogs at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle. I have played with the carbs (cleaned and readjusted to stock settings), replaced the fuel line, put on a rebuilt fuel pump that I got with my other ski, but am not having any luck.

It idles great and runs great all the way up to ~1/2 throttle. I am running out of ideas on what to try to get it going.
Any help or Ideas you gusy could give me would be great.

Did you find and re-install the small brass restrictor from the old return fuel line?

    I'm with him ^^^^^^.

What's your fuel pressure at WOT?

You need to install a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel pump and carb.

    Yep, I reinstalled that.
I do not know what the fuel pressure is at WOT.

Also one more thing I forgot to mention before was that the PTO and Center plugs were browning nicely, but the MAG plug was still pretty white and extremely wet.

    Check your adjustment screws.

Check to see if fuel is dripping from the carb when running on the MAG cyl. Maybe the needle is sticking.

Also Checked that, fuel appears to be going into the carb throats at the same rate. I reset the carbs back to factory settings and was making adjustments from there both in and out.

Trim the spark plug wires back 1/4 and reinstall the boots.

When the engine is idling, do you see fuel dripping from the MAG carb?

Also try the plug wire trick BD mentioned ^^^^^.

I think I found the problem. The mag piston has a hole it. I have the piston out and I sent John Zigler an email to see if he has one laying around.
But now I have a problem with my 750. It ran pretty good saturday, I had to make a few carb adjustments, but sunday I let a friend take it for a cruise around the lake, about half way around he shut it down so he could talk and it wouldn't start back up. We played with it all after noon, and couldn't get it to go. When I got back home with it yesterday I did a compression test and the results are 110 pto, 95 center, and 107 Mag. If you have any ideas on that you could let me know.

That center piston needs new rings. It's a little over the 10% rule. That wouldn't keep it from running though. You need to check the basics first then go from there. Check for spark on all 3. If you have spark, you have compression, pour a little premixed fuel in the carbs and see if it will run.
