    96 XP / 4tec conversion.

Ok so after alot of research and tons of conversations with some really
innovative Aussies, I have decided to go ahead with this project. I have a mint condition bone stock 96 Xp. I plan on keeping the ski completely original 96 on the outside with all original decals. As far as the conversion goes I have the engine and all necessary items and will begin fitting and making mounts this week. I will keep this thread updated with pics as I go. First pics will be up Monday when I mock up the dummy engine. As far as power I am going to do whatever it takes to get 80+ , since I havent been able to find anyone who has done this I done this I am not sure what it will take but if it takes a turbo conversion I will do it. I do plan on running it stock first to see the results. Wish me luck.

I MEASURED IT UP ALREADY and it will take lots of work.the inner hull needs alot to be cut out,and your probably better off cutting the top deck off to do your work. good luck

Mike, this is the smaller XP (X4 Hull). Dan's is the 97 and above style. Completely different

It fits better than most would think. I will update later this month when I have more time to get into it. I plan on doing more next week.

Im going to go ahead and be the first skeptic. The motor weighs almost as much as the ski.. EVEN if it does fit, which im skeptical of, how is it going to handle?? The ski will sit so low it will be half submerged.
