    Transom Plate Removal

Any tips to remove the transom plate of a 2000 GP1200R? I took the nuts off inside and I have it flipped over now. It looks to be sealed on there, can I use heat to get it loose? I'm a little nervous to heat it up. Let me know how you guys do it.

Large flat pry bar(Puddy knife). Take your time and work your way around.

I know you already have it off but for others reading, I ran longer bolts into the holes where the wear ring bolts up, it pops it right off.

That is a great idea... wish I had read that before I had to pull mine. Would have saved me about an hour.
