    2008 GTX 215 Keeps Runnig

My GTX was parked at the dock when it started to beep like it does when you put the key in. I hit the start button with no key and it took off. I shut it down it continued to have power after I shut it down. The display was lit and it continued to beep. I went for a ride with the safety strap and key in I pulled the key out and it still kept running, How dangerous. Has anyone ever heard of this before. It is a brand new unit 2 hrs on it.

I have one I am seeing the same problem with.

I am beginning to think the ECU has a headache somewhere.

2hrs old... get it back to the dealer quick.

faulty dess post the key holds a contact closed with a magnet in the key and when the post gets stuck it wont open the contacts when the key is removed, when it wont shut down unplug the dess wiring under the hood white/black and black yellow wires and it will shut down.
    Get the post replaced

Same thing plagued me all weekend... Its the DESS post. I rode mine like it was but when I was thru riding I would disconnect the harness behind the storage compartment. Its dangerous thou; if you were to fall of the ski for whatever reason the ski will keep on going on idle until it runs into something, unless you can swim faster than the idle speed and catch up with it. lol... I know i cant. Bottom line is change it. Oh! and make sure you get the right post because there are 3 wire posts and there are 4 wire post.

08 models had problems with the handle bar wiring harness. Some would stay powered up but no start, some would start with-out key, etc.

so my 2003 GTX SC is also beeping all the time and display is on.
if i go out for a ride, pull the key, it just keeps running...
it is a 3 wire dess post.
what do i need to do???
clean and check the plugs under the handlebars??
    1)order new post
2)splice it in with solder and heat shrink
3)do i need to go to dealer and get key/BUDS reprogrammed?

my ski is not showing any codes, and not showing SENSOR in the display, i think its just a bad post, anything else i need to do??

if he wrecks it and sinks, he wont be able to prove to brp it was their fault.
damn I'l be scared as shit if I fell full speed and the ski kept running

Demand service, and to my believe you should not pay a dime for such a thing. I would threaten to sue if they wanted me to pay for such thing, even if the damn thing was out of warranty.
