FX HO Cruiser 2008 rough idle

Need a little advise before I drag it in and be at the mercy of the dealer.

2nd season on the ski 6 hours of run time this season 54 hours total on the ski only had the dealer 10 service to date. Idles a little rough noticed a couple of hesitations at take off then after ten minutes the take off hesitation left but still idles a bit rough. The last time I took it out is was a little boggy in the first ten minutes so it seem to be getting worse. The old fuel which was stabilize should be out by now but I did a couple of 5 gal refills so there is still diluted old fuel in the tank.

GPS at 59.8 so old performance is still there. It's not a big deal I'm just use to it running like a swiss watch. If I take to a dealer I'm afraid of a bill with no fix or a three week wait.

What should I look for first?

Check/replace plugs and do a quick compression test if you have/borrow the gear.
Drain Fuel and refill with best you can get.

Far from comprehensive but a start.

Change the spark plugs. They are due. The spark plugs are what cause 99% of rough idle issues in this motor. Well, that and the oil on air filter issue.

    Hey thanks!
I'm on the plugs and picking them up today. Air filter looks brand new. I didn't see one water mark anywhere in the cow.

Rough idle problem gone. Plugs fixed it. Runs like a Swiss watch again. 16 dollar fix.
    Thanks all!

Always the plugs on the MR-1! Good deal.
