July 2005 Supercharger rebuild kit! (sunfunzoom)

I got this email from sunfunzoom yesterday.

Im not sure if you have seen one, if you haven't, this is the new supercharger rebuild kit from Sea-Doo as of July 2005. The Cerimic Disk now sports GREEN band, a new color(previous ones were white and yellow)

So they have come up with another washer that might be better?
How much is it? What is the part number? So when some guys take
there ski's into the dealer they can ask for this kit in there sc fix.
I know I will as my ski is under warranty still.

Thanks for the heads up, Austin

    Wow,

That would be nice if this is the "FIX" to the S/C dilemma..

I hate to be the killjoy, but my last two clutches had the green-ringed disks. They went south too. I hear that there are changes in the works including one company testing some exotic metals to replace the ceramic. I think we will have a fix in the near future.

Anyway, you used to have to buy the entire clutch assembly even if you only needed to change the ceramics. Now you can just buy the ceramic disks. They are pricey though.

The kit is about $170 USD

Interestingly, ther are 3 washers in the kit that the instructions make no comment on, they are right above the spring washers in the picture.

    Part # is 420881942

The reason I brought it up is the date on the package is July 2005 (austria)

Yeah, I got the same assembly and had no idea what those metal washers were for. Same with the clamp.

There is a rumor that the newest stock assembly washers are improved. I don't know in what way they are supposedly improved, but that's the rumor.
