where to buy fuel sending unit

i was installing a new float that i bought from watcon, and while doing so the the threaded stud at the bottom that the nut goes on snapped in two. snapped off to low to thread on and hold the bottom cap. guess i have to buy the whole fuel sending unit assembly now - can anybody tell me where to go for that (other than ebay).
    it is on a 95 SL 750
    THANKS

    I rigged one

I had an SL750 show up with no fuel feed..the nut had snapped off..a little stainless wire and imagination did the trick..imagination being I would have done about anything reasonable to avoid pulling that ^&^^&^&*^*^ float out again. Those senders are a nasty fotune

I had that happen on my sl 750 when i went to put in the float. No need to buy a new one. I don't have one handy right now and that was a while ago, but going off of memory there is a little round "channel" extruded in the outside of the tube. I think(memory) i had to drill a hole in the plastic right where that channel is. I think it was bigger diameter than the tube itself isn't it? After that you can get a s.s. self threading screw and run it right into that channel through the plastic. There's no way the plastic can come off then. I did that and the ski has been running that way for several years now. You should be able to see exactly what i'm talking about. If not post pics and i can walk you through it. It's just as good or better than that chinsy little stud they use.
