p.v. servo motor question
on my 01 gp1200r i notice that when i shut down the ski the servo motor will studder for a couple few seconds, like it is getting a signal from the cdi that is off. it doesn't fully cycle, just moves a little bit a few times. i put a known good motor in it and it does the same thing. could this be something wrong with the cdi? i did buy a used pro-tech p.v. controller from someone that was bad, don't know if that caused this. thanks, paul c.

When it makes the noise, move the PV cables around and see if it goes away.

I have purchased 3 know good P/V Motors All three had the same issue. Found a good one from a trusted member! Still working fine and still cycles properly! My 2 cents Lee

so it was the motor that did it? i have a 99 xl1200 at my dispose to swap parts to try. mine does do the self check cycle but also does that "studder movement" also.

check that power valve motor connector, if there is corrosion this may be an issue as well, check fuses in cdi, i had one where u had to wedge paper between 2 fuses to make full contact

i know that the connector is good. i will do a terminal drag test on the fuse block, thanks.
