Hull Repair!! Please Help!!
I bought a pair of 1997 Polaris SLT 780 skis and after a week on the lake I found one has had the hull repaired poorly. It has cracked and leaks. Should I cut out and reglass? Can this be fixed with fiberglass or is this SMC? I am new to this, so any help with how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

Click below for the service manual, which includes some hull repair information. See page 430 in the 1992-1998 manual.
The 1997 SLT 780 hull is made from SMC.
Repairs are similar to fiberglass, but you must use epoxy to properly bond to the SMC material, not polyester.
Depending on the amount of damage, you may find it easier to purchase an undamaged hull, and transfer your working engine and hardware over. Often hulls are available cheaply with blown engines.
