    Is a D-Plate on a 99 GP1200 needed?

Hello, Ive been searching threads for awhile and cant find an answer. I just purchased a 99 GP1200 and i know how important it is for the d-plate. Is this even do-able on this machine? Also, are there any other flaws or known issues with this model waverunner/motor that i should take care of? I know i should premix, and wave eater clips are important but i dont think this motor has power valves. Thanks. Dan
