yamaha fzr governor?
i was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of the speed governor on the fzr? i was doing some speed runs with it the other day on a river that was moving 4mph downstream and i got 70mph going down and up stream by gps. let me know if anyone knows anything about it.

There is no speed governor. There's a boost limiter and a rev limiter.

Too bad that Yamaha didn't just put a GPS limiter in there. Seems like that would be easier to eliminate then a dutuned ECU.

GPS speedo would be nice, but a user programable stock ECU would be nicer

Contrary to displacement or semi-displacement hulls, true and fast planning hulls are far less subject to speed variation caused by up/downstream current. The less displacement, the less impact.
