    pump cavitation

    i have a problem with ultra 150 the pump cavitation is very bad but it is more when trim is all the way down,the pump is completly rebuilt with new solas,the clerance between impeller and wear ring is almost nothing ,could anybody give me some advice what to do next ,feel free to ask me for more info

    You probably need to reseal your plate and grate. That is usually what causes it on the 150. Wear ring clearance should be .006 in .

    I was having the same issue after I had my pump rebuilt and shimmed. I put new pump seal and eyeglass seal and used 1/2 tube of silicone on the grate and plate and now there is no more issue.
