Mad Max is ok - whew!

Ok, no freaking jokes about this you homos.

But I took my 13 year old kitty, Mad Max, to the vet last week for a haircut (I always get him a mohawk), and the vet says his blood work showed a possibility that his pancreas was going out. Now for those of you who've had a pet for a long time, you know this can be really suck-ass news. Thought they might have to put him down.

Report back today on additional testing - he's fine and in perfect health, if not just a little pissed off at having a new haircut!

(and no, Abbott, that's not his nutsack. It's his huge gut from being overfed - part of the problem I guess)

    Glad he is doing well.
I'd be mad too if some one cut my hair like that!

Yeah that sucks. My Buddy's cat made it to a ripe old 18yrs old till earlier this year. My girls are 8 and 9 now, and I know I would hate to be in your situation.

See - I knew there were fellow cat lovers out there!

Yeah, I'm really relieved that he's ok. We've been through a lot, and moved all over the country together. Never thought I'd get so attached to a silly animal.

We have two cats also....I'm definitely a Cat guy
Cats are great. I love their independence and how they "think" they own the house....the affection is priceless. My girls spoil them....

glad to hear he is o.k. Dave

Hey Billy - got any girl kitties? My youngest (Booger) is about a year and a half, and goes around humping pillows all day. I need to set him up with some pussy (cat)!

Too bad - your new nickname could have been "Pimp Cat-Daddy"
