Supercharger Hose Slipping Off
Fellow 4-Tec Owners,
Have 2 Sea Doo 215's... replaced supercharger washers on one, rebuilt the other so both SC's were removed and reinstalled.
There is an Oetiker clamp originally on the SC hose. I cut this clamp off and replaced with a stainless steel hose clamp.
One machine seems fine after hour of use. The second machine keeps losing this hose off the supercharger. I really torqued this hose clamp down and it still comes off after a short time at full throttle.
Someone recommended I use a bellow compound to help the rubber hose mate to the steel outlet along with a hose clamp
Has anyone run into this issue and what did you do to solve it ###

make sure the surfaces are clean and free of any oil or residue. A good hose clamp or t-bolt clamp should do fine. I have hose clamps on both mine and they hold fine. Just make sure the surface on the inside of the hose and SC surface is clean.

I havent had any issued with a regular worm drive clamp. I didnt even torque the crap out of them. Heres a tip. Lightly sand/scuff the inside of the hose to give it some grip.

Do you have a aftermarket IC? My IC straps were not tight enough and my hose kept popping off, I tightened the straps and it never has happened again..
