    new guy question

My brother-in-law just bought a 2001 Seadoo GTX-DI with 94 hours on it for $3000. I love that machine and I want something similar. But my question is, what is considered high hours for these? I like the 2 stroke for their power band.

I am looking at a 2001 Yamaha XLT1200 that has 197 hours on it. They say they have all the service records. Is that too many hours?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Jamie

Unless it's had a recent rebuild,I'd say that's a lot.If the price is right, they're great skis.Find out if it has waveeater's installed and go pre mix. That'll eliminate most common cause of breakage.

That wouldn't stop me from buying it, but I'd probably do a top overhaul soon. It won't cost a whole lot to do before a piston ring breaks or catches a port and makes a big mess...

That`s to much $$$... Does this included trailer?

try and stay away from the seadoo "DI" ski`s, they have electrical issues at any time, yes some may have been resolved as in service, but the are a very comprehensive machine... the carb`d models have less issues...
