95 xp exhaust
Hello folks. It's been awhile since I have posted here, but, I ran across a problem the other day I knew someone here would know how to fix.
I have a 95 xp with the 717 motor. I started it for the first time this year in the water. I noticed a trickle of water coming from the exhaust riser just above the round clamp. As I took a closer look I saw that the plug that is welded at that location has a small pinhole corroded through it.
Has anyone else run across this problem before? If so is there a way to fix it other than getting a new riser to put on? Thanks for any help on this issue. Karl

just get a new plug welded in place. you can seal it with quicksteel for a quick fix for the summer. definately get it welded after the season though.

Ok thanks for the help. I'll look into either patching it or getting it welded later this week.
