    1997 GP1200 electrical problem

My 97 GP1200 has an electrical problem; when I go to start it it cranks over fine, but if it doesn't start on the first try it is dead, and it won't turn over again until I disconnect the main fuse and then reconnect it. Then it will turn over normally again, but only once, then I have to remove/reinstall the fuse again, before it will turn over. Anyone had this problem before?

If it is unlocked just push the mode button for 3 seconds and it will start. If it is locked enter the code and it it will start. If you dont start it in a few seconds it will need to be reactivated......
