    2001 Xlt 1200

My boss just bought this ski and is having a bad cavation problem. We pulled the pump to find a lot of play between the impeller and ring and a cracked ride plate.

First, He is going to buy a new ride plate and how is the R&D?
Second, What is the stock impeller and what will be best with a new ride plate, intake grate and wear ring?

    Thanks in advance

Hello nitro, If it is a stock ski you want to go with a 12/18 you want to change the stock intake grate with a r&d or riva one. You want to get a pump seal kit and seal the pump shoe. The riva and the r&d ride plates are the same for the xxl and xlt. Just different colors, And if you want it can be modified for even more speed.

Thanks for all the responce. He ordered the 12/18 and R&D intake grate today but the ride plate is backordered most places. His is bent and cracked. It must be replaced. He just bought the ski last weekend and noticed it had a bad cavation problem so we started looking and thats what we found.

If you need a ride plate, HopatcongGPR has one for sale (Pro-Tec).

This is a good overall ride plate for rough and smooth water for a GOOD price.

I have a R&D ride plate with the Island Racing Angle Mod....i won't give it up for less then $250 shipped.
