    96 GTX wouldn't start - Fuel Filter?

Ski was running great, took people tubing all day, went to head back and the engine wouldn't start. Just kept turning over. The plugs were getting spark, replaced the plugs, no help. I unscrewed the fuel filter in the front of the haul and it started right up. I left the screen out, and just screwed the cap on and we were able to get back without issues. The screen didn't look dirty, but when I loosend the filter, it felt like it was barely tight. Could it be air was getting in through the filter?

Check the o ring in the fuel filter for cracks or splits.

Do you still have grey tempo fuel lines?

The screen in the water trap should not make a difference,, Was there water in there? sounds like it if you removed and replaced and it ran.

as posted if you have the grey fuel lines REPLACE them,, and remove the carb and clean or replace the little filter.

post back what you find, it helps the forum readers
