    RXP-X RS Mods

    Hello,

im new to this forum and i just bought a brand new rxpx rs 2009... im thinking of modding it with the following parts:

    1. 4 inch intake
    2. 15/22r solas impeller (repitched)
    3. 83mm nozzle
    4. RE Block Off's
    5. Ride plate holes filled

will these parts fit the rxp-x rs or only the rxp-x? my aim is to reach above 75 mph, do i need more mods for this?

    p. s. the reason i didnt get the grate is because i heard that rs has a riva intake grate.

    thnks,

    thnks,

sum guys are seeing 75mph on p-x with riva grate,4"intake,and good prop pitch.but it aint really a case of bolting it up and youl hit 75mph.where you ride, temp, altitude etc all cum in to play.
or buy a kit off the like of jaws off here......very very good reputation!!
and id prob ditch the nozzle and block-offs for now and get a ecu reflash with raised limiter 8400.no head mods etc needed until 8600rpm.
with all this you should see 75+mph
do the free mods of course, ride plate holes etc.

    hello baba850r,

thnx for your reply.... i know what you mean that wind condition, water and how the rought the water is may effect the speed. In the middle east, the temp gauge always shows me 90F+ and my goal for hitting 75+mph will be on a perfect day with smooth water and no wind.

I want to do the ecu reflash but i prefer hull mods instead... the reason for this is because the ecu reflash may advance the timing a lot and the fuel im using on the ski is not that good (no good octane ratings in my country)... i dont want any knock or detonation to occur.

Im focusing more on hull mods and cooling system (intake, thermo, prop, nozzle.) the ECU might be fine but i dont wanna risk it yet... if i get a tuner to tell me exactly what fuel adjustment and spark advance he will do the ECU then i may get one if its not too aggressive.

Do you have a picture of the intake grate? Do the thermostat for sure if you ride in high heat mostly. RE BO's don't help speed.

jp1300r, i will take a pic of the intake grate and post it soon...

S2r, is the r&d grate better than a riva grate?

im also deciding which brand to go with the 4 inch intake... im trying to find a place to buy kanaflex but didnt... will fizzle 4" intake on 4tecperformance.com give same performance?

    thanks and appreciate your help

From what I have read with the R&D grate the RXP-X will overstuff at a much higher speed. That is what I am running on my RXP-X. I have some kanaflex. Pm me if interested.

By the looks of that grate, I would say don't change it out. You should be able to do 75 with your mods with the RS grate.
