Not sure where you are looking for the CDI, but I think the 2001 two cylinder CDI will work, or possibly the Update Ignition CDI.

Don't have time right now to check the specs...

Will get back to you later, if no one else chimes in with the answer

I tried to look it up on Babbit's site and they say to call them, gives me the impression it is no longer sold by Polaris.
Did you call them,to see if they have any ideas?

I'm pretty sure the 01 will work, will run. I would suggest checking piston wash to make sure is is not too lean/hot. So you do not burn a piston.

Let us know how it works (if you try it) so others will know, seeing that the part will not be available.

Arrow Substitute CDI options for 2000 SLH two cylinder CDI

As best I can tell, here is the story.

2000 SLH CDI is part number 4010380 (used on 2000 SLH only)
Magneto is 4010172 (used on all 2000-2004 two cylinder engines)
Ignition coil is 4010175 (used on all 2000-2004 two cylinder engines)

    Given that the magneto and ignition coil are common to all the 2000-2004 twins, I think the 4010380 can be replaced with any of these;
4010404 2001 SLH (out of production)
4010558 2001 Virage (out of production, replaces 4010404)

    4010568 2002-2003 Virage/Freedom/Octane
    4010803 (Substitute for 4010568 ) $218 Babbitts

4010448 Hurricane & 700 Ignition Update Kit CDI
(Not sure if this CDI can be ordered without the rest of the Update Kit, and the Magneto part number 4010401 is different)

It looks like the CDI to order if buying new is 4010803.

If shopping used, then I suspect any of the above part numbers should work, with the higher part numbers being the newer versions.

Having said all that, are you sure your CDI has failed?

Buying a new CDI, or used?

If new, let us know what part number you actually receive.

tested my cdi today with a hot stick (dont have a voltmeter on hand) there are 2 black/white wires that go from the cdi to the coils and one is not registering any power and the other wire had a very dim light on it

I don't know how you connected that 'hot stick', but the ignition coil on a twin CDI is a current loop between the two wires. It is not a voltage referenced to ground.

When the coil primary is connected, the CDI pulses a voltage between the two primary wires, and that fires the single secondary coil for both spark plugs at the same time. The primary voltage pulse is over 100 volts, as I recall.

What is the part # CDI you have?
The 01 Virage service manual does'nt show a lite blue wire from the CDI.

The Black with yellow stripe wire is for the stop switch. When you press the button it goes to ground.
Ground the blk/yel wire to see if it stops.
