I have a Tom Tom gps unit in my truck and was wondering would that work on my ski. Its a gp1200. Also the Tom Tom is held on by suction.

Put it in your storage compartment under the handle bars, or in your pocket.

Don't see why not. Just get a drybox to protect that bad boy.

I tried that a little over a year ago before I got my Etrex Legend GPS. The TomTom works fine, but there is no max speed feature on the TomToms. At least the older ones did not have that feature and its hard to be looking at tiny gps #'s when you need to be holding on.
