    2006 rxp supercharger rebuild needed?

    Hello, new to the forums.

I have a 2006 rxp with only 26 hours on it. I was out last weekend and think the supercharger went out on me. I can only get about 50 mph top speed now and its slow when I gun it at a dead stop. I was told that the supercharger needs to be rebuilt.

I have a few questions and was looking for some help.

    1. Is the rebuild kit the only parts I will need?
    2. What special tools will I need to rebuild it?
    3. Is there any performance parts I should use why I'm rebuilding it?
    4. Any other advice on what the best way is to fix my problem.

    Thanks,

    Lucas

Lucas, i can do the rebuild for you cheaper than you can buy all the tools yourself. Bobo posted the link above.

The supercharger is not your only concern right now. You will have to retrieve the ceramic pieces from the engine. You will find most of the debris in the front oil pump screen. More than likely your front oil pump will need replacing if you have put any kind of time on the engine after the failure.

I thought I has a similar problem on my '06 RXT. Turned out to be just a hose that fell off. I could not get over 5500 RPM and I did not think to even look for a loose hose. It was under the rear seat.
