    R&D Adapter

Would it be easier to clamp the Kanaflex to the R&D adapter before snapping it into the SC or not? Is the adapter hard to remove from the SC?

The SC adapter slips right on. Then you install the kanaflex and then clamp it down.

    Thanks Jerry,

I just pressure tested the XS IC system with the silicon connections test plug and no leaks. Yea!

I was more curious if the R&D adapter removed easy?

When there is no clamping pressure on it from the hose clamp it pulls right off.

For extra measure put a small bead of black permatex on the R&D adapter lip where the SC throat seats against. This area will suck in any water in the hull if it's high enough to reach or splash on the bottom of the SC. It took me a while to figure out why I was getting water in the tube between the SC & IC. I found the water trail & sealed it & it never happened again.

Only put the bead on the lip NOT the innner walls.
