Lets talk about detailing your ski

Was in a local place the other day and I was looking at Marine Detailing products made by Mothers and Meguires. Made me curious as to what products you guys use for detailing and keeping the gelcoat look nice and how you use them.

    I use JimmyG's products.

First I use the clay bar with the Extra Smooth Detail Spray to clean off the surface. Then I use the superfine polish and I will go over it with the best of the best paste wax. This is the same stuff I use on my vehicle also. You only use a small amount of product. This product is used on a lot of the top show cars here in CA. Here are a couple of big show winning vehicles that use the product. This was @ Blackie's 50th invitational only car show. 4 of the top 5 winning cars were using JimmyG's products. These vehicles below use the products. There are also no bees wax fillers in the products that is why they do not smudge like other waxes.

make sure u dont hit the black plastic with the wax...

I use turtle wax about every month or two, wash ski after every ride, and garage stored. No fade on any of my skis.

Please do not use any micro fiber towles that have a tag on them they have a nylon edging and the tag will scratch.

Mothers Back-to-black works great on all of the black plastic. Simple green is the best for getting exhaust off the back of the hull.
