VTS Cover replacement help
ok so i have a new cover and gasket for the housing
the gasket seems like it is 2 thick and i cannot get it to close
there has to be some type of trick that doesnt make this a P.I.T.A replacement

put the gasket on the housing first. Then slide the cover over it. I spent over two hours on this little preoject once....

I always use just a touch of white lithium grease on the seal... seems to keep it from drying out and cracking over time as well

so how does the seal fit on the housing?
is it supposed to pac-man the housing or just on the outer edge?
such as making the seal flat and pushing into groove of cover so when closing it pitches both sides
a picture would be great... lol...
