    Simple carb adapter question

I just put on ProK flame arrestors and installed adapters. There were no instructions with the adapters and no gaskets to mount between the adapter and carbs. My question is do I need to seal where the adapter mounts to the carbs? I know it can't hurt, but I already have them on and don't want to tear it apart if not necessary. If it is necessary, will regular old Permatex work or do I need something specifically for marine use? Thanks for your help.

No gaskets needed between flame arrestor adapters and carbs.
