Race ECU for ULTRA
All, Want your feedback: Where is the best place to buy a race ECU for the ULTRA....? Price, quality, etc
Also, who has an aluminum straight R-Rated U Bend pipe setup for the ULTRA they're looking to sell? PM me on that.

don't quote me on this but...most of you know about the results the SHO guys had with the MoTeC ECU in their ski's and I swore I could've read somewhere that it can be programmed to different 4-stroke engines maybe this could be an option for you? On the yami's it's an awesome ecu extremely tuneable.

i run a motec on my race boat and have done for the last 8 months or so
dont think i could recommend any thing else that would plug staright in and do the same job that the motec would do

Motec makes a nice unit. The sofware is really nice and user friendly. I haven't owned one but am familiar with guys who use them on motorcycles. I've yet to hear of any complaints. I ran the older style autronics SMC with the 500r cdi. The features were nice, but the older software was based more on a windows 3.1 style. I'm sure there are several out there to chose from. From my experience, I'd go with who is going to offer the most support as well as possibly getting a unit that others share information on for your specific application.

very true it all comes down to support and sharing of info
motec has a world wide distributor network
plus it comunicates with your original dash and all this has to be a big plus for alot of stock class racers that are not removing the dash.

Will the MOTEC fit in your pocket?
Wait, airport police may stop you on your way to Havasu! Darn!

another great feature of the motec is the data logging
it is great for a racer for testing and for after a race to go through the log of each race or test sesion
makes prop pitching so much easyer especially with the GPS add on for track mapping and accelration times
for the serrous off shore racers and enduro racers you could run a motec dash and run a fuel counter through the ECU so you new exactly how much fuel was left in the tank.
