Considering a SXI Group-K
Hello all, so just a quick note about myself, I just turned 41 and have not been on a Stand up ski since 1990 when I owned a Kawasaki sx650. I just remember it as being some of the best fun I ever had. Hard to believe it's been about 20 years.
I'm looking at a 2002 750 sxi Group-K with a single place trailer. The ski is heavily modified, drop nozzle, factory dry pipe, carb upgrade, sponsons etc and more. It does still run on 92 octane however.
My question is, can I expect this type of ski to be reliable? Or am I buying into a rocket ship with a lot of mechanical maintenance requirements. The ski will be primarily for myself, and I guess I'm looking for something that is going to give me plenty of ride time and not a lot of repair / tuning time.
Any suggestions or comments are welcomed and appreciated.

I think the Group K stuff is pretty legit as far as relability... but as with anything... spin more RPM's and something will eventually snap, I know the 92 to 94 750 motors (called small pins) weren't as robust as the ones going forward, I'd say buy it if you can get a decent deal.
