    1200R Heads options

Was wondering how different the Group K head mod is vs a Pro-tec or R&D head?

CC's, Domes, & Squish / Head Compression will all be probably slightly different for different applications.

I've had a couple of Group K heads.... great guys. I like my pretty 3 piece ADA head, but my next ski will probably have a GroupK.

Other than the subtle differences in the chamber sizes, does one do a better job averting detonation? Group K indicated that their mod requires no carb changes at all.

Hmmm... wonder what would be better a GroupK stocker or a Pro-tec rec head? I have been leaning towards the Pro-tec head and the prices are about the same...

    Yellow,

What are you seing on GPS the way you're setup (13/19)? I'm at 61 with all the same mods except for the 12/18 and 5 degree nozzle.

really??? No carb changes?? The carb rejet is probably the biggest thing keeping me from getting a head right now... I think thats one of the main things that makes me more interested in the EFI skis.

Haven't GPS'ed it yet... I still need to get one... its on my purchase list! The 13-19 is what Carl recommended when I ordered it from him last year.

The carb/ jetting is keeping me away too. That's why I'm leaning to group K, plus it's only $180 for the mod.

From what I can tell... GroupK products are a hair on the conservative side (which is a good thing, IMO). No carb changes are required; however, you might as well rejet, the more fuel/air mixture will give you better results.

As far as GroupK vs Protec..... apples and oranges, they both feel the same when you get hit upside the head with one. I'd imagine they would both come pretty close to each other performance wise.
