Added ½*impeller pitch lost 50 rpm when hot

I have a 05 RXT stage1 Riva w/green wheel. RPM always held at 8100 rpm unless it was a very hot day 100* +. I damaged my impeller so I had IMPROS do the repair and he added ½* from 14/17 to 14/17.5. I can make a few passes at 8100 rpm but as soon as the engine heat up 8050 is all I can get out of my ski. Did I waste my time with the re-pitch or is it normal to lose a few rpm when the impeller is pitched. Thanks Rick

There's nothing wrong with losing 50 rpm. That's not even a 1mph loss. How does it pull? If you didn't look at the tach would have felt the difference?
    Add a 4" air intake & gain 80+ rpm.

You added when you should have taken a 1/2 degree off..

    Add degrees= less RPM
    Subtract degrees= More RPM

If you were sitting on the limiter...which you were....they added some pitch....increasing speed and reducing rpm.

    What's the problem?
