    Honda Aquatrax 2005 R-12X Lean

Anyone else experience a lean to the right on their Aquatrax? Mine is an '05 and it constantly feels like it is leaning to the right. Not sure if this is a weight balance issue or not, but moving my weight to the other side of the craft doesn't solve the issue either. If you look into the engine compartment, it looks like the engine sits to the RH side just a bit. Is this a manufacturing feature or maybe something specific with my ski. It is all stock with the exception of adding an Aqua-Step to the rear.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    RT lean

The only thing I can think of is your steering adjusted properly if its a little out either way it will cause the ski to lean while in motion. If it leans while just sitting make sure there is no water in the engine compartment

    Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I plan to take the ski out this week later and just sit it in the water and look at it. Frankly I didn't think about that because I was having too much fun blasting around on it. I called my local dealer and they gave the same advice.

Next I'm going to try to find a service manual so that I can learn how to adjust the steering cable/mechanism. I'm mechanically inclined, but new to ski's.

    Thanks

    Steering Adjustment

Could anyone briefly describe the procedure for adjusting the steering linkage on an '05 R-12X.

    Thanks in advance.

    Adjustment

I managed to find a .pdf version of the service manual and adjusted the steering linkage. It was off about 3 turns of the turnbuckle so I'm hopeful that will cure my listing to the right hand side problem.
    Thanks

    Adjustment Tested

I took the ski to the lake after adjusting the steering cable and it fixed the issue. Guess it must have been that way from the start. I bought the ski in magnificent condition (44 hours) and don't think the guy ever messed with it.

Anyway, easy fix and lesson learned.

Thanks for this info! I just posted the same question so I guess I should have read first. I'll adjust it in the morning. Thanks! CC
