    Greaseing Drive Shaft Coupler??????

    Hello everyone,

I am the proud owner of 2 Polaris Pro1200's and I doing maintenance to them, replaced Grey tempo fuel lines and greased everything but I hit A snag....... Is there A trick to greasing the drive shaft coupler, it does not have a normal grease zirk fitting, and I don't have a needle point adapter for my grease gun?? Many Thanks, if there is A place i can get a needle point adapter for my grease gun, please let me know...

    Thanks again, RiZ

You can install a STD fitting.

I picked up a needle point grease tip at a local auto parts store.

Thank you Beerdart, I will. Can I leave the standard zirk fitting on, or should I remove after greasing it and put flat 1 back on(but doing this will release the pressure I pumped into the fitting)?? I am guessing that I'll have to remove it, and put stock fitting back on, since its not a normal zirk fitting to start with, and Polaris must have had a reason to use this type of fitting over A normal everyday grease fitting.
Wow, Am I getting too techincal here. Thanks

You can leave the regular Zirk installed, but it may contact the coupler cover.

I suggest getting the needle fitting for the grease gun from an auto parts store for $3.15.
