He's got 2 posts. Why do you think he joined - to help the jet ski community or to make some money? ... Ron

You know, I left jet skiing and went to boats knowing we have absolutely no racing in our region. It also appears to be the best decision I ever made knowing in these forums it always seems to be some dirt bag bashing every post which has been put up on the network. I know this shop, he does great work, takes care of his customers, and since jet ski racing has come to a screeching halt in this region he is looking to get some kind action out there for those who have no other option within 100 miles. Just respect a guys decision to try and bring in boat owners, jet ski owners, racers and all their families for something different.

Anyone who promotes knows you don't get rich off this stuff, and the headache dealt with to make life fun for others usually outweighs the benefit for a small-time shop. Great job Shawn, I respect what you guys are doing; plan to stop by and see some of those 120mph outboards. I here they are pretty wicked!!

+1, I'm all for races but 1/4 on a jet-ski is alittle long.. You'd have to have seen the Hydro's to know what were talkin about.. these days open class boats are knocking on 100 MPH in the 1/8th..

No, I get you guys. This was originally set up for boats only, but they said let's open it to ski's as well. There are a ton of them in the Omaha area. They could adjust length if need be, but DEFINITELY appreciate help in making something fun even better. I think my post was more directed towards another topic.....

Im not far from you, Lake of the Ozarks. there was a 15 year drag BOAT race, every year! well this is the first year they are not having it due to poor turnout. there are guys that are looking for more races, Ill give them the info.

I know 1/4 mile is a little too long but we have to include boats and thats what they run in the UMPBA. If we have a good turn out this year then next year we will have an 1/8 mile and maybe a closed course. But we will have to prove to them that it is worth putting this race on.

Im doing this for free none of the money goes to me at all. I would just like to have some racing fun around here again. Thanks All Seasons Motorsports

JD-1, thanks for the insight. I know it is frustrating when things start dying off. Hell, I was a big SHOOTERS fan and couldn't believe it went under and closed up. Headin down to the lake this weekend though....looking forward to some good sun, water, drinks, and whatever else we see!! Gotta love those PartyCove sights.....
