Well I learned my lesson last night... Still need some advise
About a month ago I started to modify my RXP. I knew thatI needed to clamp up the bailer tubes. About three clamps into it I decided I was getting impatient to get out on the water and I just pulled the old I'll get the rest later and wont have an issue. I totally forgot about them and have also been putting off a bilge pump install. Well last night the lake was very rough due to the holiday weekend and I was getting more air then I ever have. I had not 1 but 3 bailer tubes pop off and fill the ski with water. Due to all the traffic by the time I got it out of the water the motor ingested some water. I spent the night spitting water out of the cylinders, fogging the motor, and so far flushed with regular 10-40 motor oil.
I learned my lesson today. I will not be enjoying the lake without a bilge pump installed. I already replaced the rest of the clamps on the bailer tubes.
I do have a few questions. Can I go out and ride the ski for 20 mins to kind of just blow the rest the water out of the system with the 10-40 oil in it? Or should I just change to Sea doo oil and the filter and be done with it all?
I am looking for one of the Rule 500 Bilge pumps but I cant figure out which ones are Manual only and which ones are Auto/Off/On type. Can anyone post a link to a good pump?
