That sux..All the old greenboxes were TRD boxes and I've heard of only a few failures out of who know how many waterboxs, thousands.. I'm sure the folks at TRD will take care of you, please keep us updated..

2 different styles and easy to tell apart.
The original style looks like a normal waterbox. The end pieces are flat, and are welded to the OUTSIDE of the box itself. These crack around the weld almost perfectly.
The newer style has the end pieces recessed INTO the waterbox and are welded INSIDE the end of the box itslelf. I haven't seen one blow apart yet.
Can you post up a pic?
He will usually warranty them.

Here are some pictures. As you can tell there was no heat issue at all. Just a very poor job of manufacturing.

I thought they changed to a "captive" end cap. Where they actually cut the cap so it will fit into the end of the waterbox. Recess the cap in like a 1/4-1/8 inch then weld it.
