    Sea Doo programable keys

What happens when you plug the wrong key in a ski that has the DESS system? Do you get one beep and then four then it shuts off?

Yeah I got a MPEM and that didnt work. It does almost the same thing with the wrong key as it does with the one programed for it.

You get one long beep when it's the wrong lanyard. No 4 beeps afterward.

Then it must be a newer than 2003 ski. Previous did not do the annoying chirps...

Damm. Its one long one then about 3-5 seconds later its four short beeps. No mater what key I use. One key is supposed to be programed the other two I have are not programed to the mpem.

according to his sig.. it's probably an 03 XPDI

One long means that the key is not programmed to the MPEM. Is this the one you bought off of Nick Colman? Any dealer should be able to program it.

it pays to check all the dealers in area
$50 is a fair chunk for 5 min work.

Yeah...it's kinda hard to figure out what ski he is talking about when he won't tell you.
