    newbie with '95 waveraider 701

hi all, im a newb from all the way in the uk
not many pwc forums in the uk so here i am

    i have a 95 waveraider 701
ive just rebuilt the engine as the ski was in bits when i got it so im finally getting there
i stripped out the qsts off to find the cables are virtually non existent
ive read on a few forums that the system makes very little difference so rather than replace the cables i was just gunna lock it in a single posistion using the cable pivot under the hood
my question is which posistion would be best to lock it in?
when running the ski will be used on a tidal estuary that is usually mildly choppy and very rarely flat calm
im a total beginner to this as well if that makes a difference

    hope u can help

    cheers

Center....or maybe slightly down if you want to try to keep it hooked up.
