    RXP impeller Question

    Hey,
I just took my pump off to replace the wear ring on my bone stock RXP with 30 hours. It has a solas 15/20 installed in it. Based on the chart I guess I need a stage 2 immediately...lol . what can I expect from this prop on a stock engine? Should I replace it? Re-pitch it? BLA BLA BLA?!.....lol
    Thanks in advance, Steve

Hello Steve. A Solas 15-20 prop on a stock engine is not a good combo. The boat will feel very lazy with that prop and your top speed will suffer.

IMO you would be MUCH better off with the stock prop in that boat if the engine is stock. Another alternative would be a Solas 14-19 but even that might be pushing your luck.

    Hope this helps...

    20
My guess is RR ecu And 10 rr sc wheel minimum for 15/20. It will need to be pitched to work either way.

    Exclamation impeller clearance

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but can anyone tell me what the clearance shoould be on a 06 RXP impeller/wear ring set up? I have already taken mine to the dealership twice for impeller replacement and got soaked (yea , I know) twice for over $500 each time. The last time I requested the impeller and low and behold it looked fairly normal , with exception of minor scratches and a few very small dings. Iam going to do th replace ment myself this time. Thanks
