Question Water fuel separator on 2001 Virage 700cc

I think I may have gotten my fuel lines mixed up when I replaced them... I forget which line goes to what fitting on the water fuel separator. The diagram in the manual is not detailed enough. On the fittings there is an arrow pointing into the separator and on the other fitting there is an arrow pointing out of the separator.

I assume it should go like this: out of tank & into separator/out of separator & into petcock (on/off valve).

Can someone steer me in the right direction here?

You've listed it right. Then out of the petcock to the carb.
