Hey guys, im a seadoo guy, but my Uncle just got a new 260 Ultra LX, the silver one, and I am wondering what the top speed is on these. He claims it will do 72, but of course thats on the dream-o-meter Thanks.

If it's on the dream-o-meter then he has a special one because it only registers up to 70 MPH. If it's stock it should do around 66-67.

Ya, 70 is max dream reading.
GPS is about 65-67 in real world conditions.
In cool temps with low fuel he may hit 69-70.

there is an article in the new Watercraft Illustrated magazine which reviewed that exact model. Garmin GPS speed 68.1 in their test.

This is a LX 250 ,,they are slower,
I past one on a stock honda 1500 and that only does 63mph ,,,,,so the LX would may do 61 mph.
What does the tests say ?

I could be mistaken but there is no 250LX only the 2009 260LX and as far as I know the only difference between it and the 260X is the seat and the color. It should still do the same top speed as the 260X (65-68 MPH)

I believe you are thinking of the 08 non supercharged model. The ultra 260Lx is the 09 supercharged cruiser model with the cruiser seats like the yamaha.

WOW, so I have way more respect for the Ultras. I have only ever ridden the RXP to compare the supercharged ski to, but it really pulls for such a whale. And the turning is actually really amazing for a huge ski. I went into it thinking meh, its huge, ill just go straight and see how fast I can go, but no, it can really really carve, way better then my aunts 06 GTX N/A.
