Jerry is correct-I am a VERY happy camper 77.8mph

Little background--Jerry finished installing 42# injectors--15/20 with his magic pitch--RR front engine mount--upgraded grate--his skegs--VTS extension rod. He tested it late Wednesday--July 26 and ran 77.00 mph at 8300 RPM at about sea level and 90 plus degrees air temp and over a half tank of fuel. We discussed the results and he felt I needed to go from my current 81mm venturi to a 82mm to bring the rpm up a bit and to compensate for my home altitude of 650 feet above sea level. Tested it this morning at 7:00AM while it was still cool (82 degrees) and only running three bars of fuel. Ran 77.8 at 8400rpm--every now and then bumping 8450. As the day warms up I should not go over 8400 (which is where I want it.) Could not be any more happy. I have an outside homemade air package which feeds thru a Riva power pipe. As soon as I can get rid of the restrictive power pipe and run 4 inch ID hose to the supercharger with a 4" to 3" reducer--I should be over 78mph. Jerry--cant thank you enough--to think you got it running this fast and not one internal engine modification--you are on in a million.

Awesome Ray, man on the lake at 7:00 and just letting it rip...
Great results. Buy justins scer adapter and run the 4in. to the SCer.
I did and it is nice. A reducer would work to, but I like the clean look.

Damn Ray! You got it going faster than me.

I had a feeling that the 82mm ring might do the trick for you. Im glad it worked out.

Now, i officially crown you the fastest 71 year old on the water

Jerry I had an advantage--you were running in the heat of the day with over a half tank of fuel and that 81mm venturi holding the rpms at 8300. It was all your hard work and knowledge that has it where it is--many many thanks again.

Wow--those skegs--tell ya what--its like you are on rails--just nothing but stright arrow. I would put them on even if they did not enhance the speed-- just for the sure stable feeling you get. Can pull some Gs on a turn too.
