    Help Tuning

I struggled with my Polaris Virage all last season. After trying many things, I think it just needs a tuning. I did a little bit, but it still isn't perfect. From idle to 3/4 it is almost perfect. From 3/4 to WOT it bogs down. If I feather the throttle, it runs fine. I think this means it is running lean. I'm not sure which screw to adjust though. High-speed or Idle?

    Which needle, and much?

    Thanks

    Two or three cylinder engine?

    Carburetor or fuel injection?

Sorry.... It is a two cylinder engine with one carb.

    Give us some background

    Has the carb been rebuilt?

    Any changes from stock?

Has the engine ever run perfectly for you?

    Correct spark plugs, compression, etc?

Tempo fuel lines replaced with new lines?

    Yes, last summer.

    None

Yup. I've owned it for 4-6 years (can't quite remember). Engine ran fine every year, except this year and last year.

I haven't replaced the plugs from last summer (that might be the problem?) and the compression was perfect last summer, when I was having these problems.

    I haven't replaced the fuel lines. I didn't know I had to.
I will try what you suggested. Get new plugs and maybe replace the fuel lines.

I just read through another thread and someone mentioned a coupler (the bearings could be bad). Where is that located on the 2003 Polaris Virage?

Start with the links in my signature, and click around.

I just realized something else. I have NGK PZFR6H plugs in my Virage. I'm looking at the manual and it says the Virage takes NGK BPR8ES.

Could that make a difference? Maybe the plug is too hot or too cool?
