EFI settings its fast
is anyone running these settings on there GPR , 1-3-1-3 as they seem to work great on my ski. The ski has ported Cylinders, 45cc heads, d plate etc etc etc etc
I have played with the setings and these by far seem to be the fastest.
My mate tells me to increase the last setting so it switches over to 5500rpm on the high speed. WHICH I WILL DO
The reason i ask is because my plugs are very clean, ie the ceramic around the centre of the plug is very clean greyish in colour,,
I cannot stress enough how quick my ski is
i use 98 octane fuel shell optimax

For a ported ski that red setting is really REALLY low. other than that you can try bringing UP the RPM selector to around 5 1/2. If you have a buddy that can holeshot with you it would be easier to dial in the yellow and green selector. Do you have a tach to tune in your ski??? make the red pot setting rich and keep bringing it back down until you get the best RPM reading.

what i would do if i were you would be to do the following:
1. get a tach to get accurrate readings (there a plenty to choose from)
2.bring up the settings to make them rich.
3.do one at a time start form the green pot and bring up until you can feel that the ski is going to shut off and smell that the ski is running rich. bring back down a 1/2 a number or until the engine goes back down to a stable rpm.(make sure you give it a few trottle snaps and check again.)
4. for the yellow pot bring up until it's runing rich.(you will notice when you criuse at mid range you would hear it blubbering) bring back down half to a full number once the engine stops blubbering.
5. for the red setting bring it rich around the 5 or 6's and go wot then take max rpm reading. write it down and lower the red setting by half a number. bring it down until you get no gain in rpms then go back to your last setting.( i personally added 1/4 to half a number to run a little rich after max rpm reading)
6. For the RPM setting i have had no experience yet beacuse i had a buddy to holeshot with and left it at were i pulled him the most or saw no gain i left this at 4 1/2.
hope this helps a little

i read the set up instructions on the forum before i went to the lake, I had already set my ski up last year, which was these settings.
I tried what you guys recommend. However i slowly went back to my settings that i had dialled in last year, the current ones.
Yes i have 2 tachs on my ski a pet2500 and a tiny tach
I will go back to the lake and adjust / play with the Red and last pot
Has anyone checked there plugs afterwards and noted there COLOUR
Certainly RPMs drop off by about 50rpms when the RED pot is adjusted, i did not notice much difference in the YELLOW POT
Again i have to say this is where the ski it at its quickest

yellow is accellerator pump as rocketman stated...with the plugs gray on a two stroke i would thing your a tad lean...lean is mean..but at a cost of your motor...im running my red pot at 6..it comes on at 5500 rpm...im at 518 ft altitude 100 deg air,90% humidity (texas hell)..im at 7120 rpm. im running 18.104.22.168. but im not sure all pots callibrate the same and there are the differances in skis..the above link about turning pot till it blubbers is how i set mine up......hope this helps.
