    wear ring

Hi there...I would like to know why everytime i change my wear ring(of an seadoo rxp 155 with plastic pump)after 3 hours running my impeller damage the wear ring in upper right first and then all over the ring.
also the screw nuts are gettin off(of the wear ring)Is there a case that my solas impeller 11/19 is responsible for that? Also after i took of the pump, when i spin the impeller by hand i can hear a noise like of a damaged bearing..Is the possible to cause the problem?

The plastic pump "gives" too much. That's why BRP stopped using them in 2004. And, it does sounds like you have a bad bearing too... Ron

Yeah, you have a pump housing / bearing problem. I didn't realize they were using the plastic pumps on the 155hp RXP's... if so... try to get a regular metal one and replace the bearings. The newer wear rings are tough and should last AT LEAST 50 - 60 hours even if you're sucking junk up and spitting it out with 215hp. I've found the new ones to be pretty bullet proof and haven't ruined one yet... even if I should have.
