Looking for a battery for an 04 GTX (185Hp) can i get away with using a P-CB16CL-B or do i need to use a YB30CL-B? Plently of 16CL-B's available in the stores, 30CL-B no so much. Thoughts?

You need the amps of a 30... (30 amps)
Not enough amps with a 16... (16 amps)a
I did this too, early on, and got some error codes.

what exactly is the issue here? Cost? Electronically sophisticated machines need the battery capacity to run the system with enough current and storage capacity. the 16`s I believe are 20amhr not enough for the 4-tecs.
the 30 are 30amhr with the correct reserve/capacity.
expensive yes, but so are the machines they go in, Don`t chince out one a cheapo battery, it just might leave you where you don`t want to be...suck it up man!

Go with the YB30CL-B.

No issue spending the $$ for the right one. Just a not wanting to order it over the web is my issue. I was trying to find one locally first but all the places in the area that would have this type of battery only carry the 16. I didnt want to give the local doo place the 150$ they want for it. Some of the sites i was on dont stock it. Talked to an interstate guy i know, ill have it tomorrow. 100$
